- Motorbike without helmet
- Food (Kinilaw & Chicken Adobo)

I DIDN'T LIKE

Philippines - Bohol / Panglao Island - Part 2 (17.05.2014)

So as I told you in my last post I went back to Philippines for 3 weeks.
I mainly stayed inTagbilaran.
My accomodation was located in the city center (Nisa Traveller's Inn).

I enjoyed to stay with local people and my friends I met 2 weeks before.

I went two times to Dumaluan beach which is located in the north of Alona beach on Panglao island.
This place is much better than Alona beach because it's also beautiful and more authentic.
Local people use to go there with friends or kids for weekend or to party.

I was also invited to birthday party (son of my friend) and graduation party.

I went two times to the cinema to watch "Captain America" and "Son of God".

I used to eat everyday local food in restaurant or in the house of my friends (Chicken Adobo, Kinilaw, ...)

NB: The usual transportation in Philippines are the Jeepney and the Tricycle. I used to look for Tricycle with a specific number (0001, 007, 0029, 1978, 1989, ...) and I found one with my birth year (1978) ;)

Philippines - Bohol / Panglao Island - Part 1 (16.04.2014)

After my short escapade in Manila I finally met David at Tagbilaran airport located on Bohol island (Visayas province).
He was without his luggage. Delayed for security reason. David as usual :)
Fortunately we retrieved them the next day in the airport.

We mainly stayed on Panglao Island because David has a friend (Damien) who is working on Alona beach as diving instructor.

The first 3 days I booked a nice B&B located to the opposite of Alona beach ("The Cove House").
The next days we found an accommodation including scooter rental ("Hope Homes Resort") close to Alona beach. It was a little bungalow with only one bed. So yes I slept with David for 2 weeks. Don't worry nothing happened between us :)
Anyway it was just to sleep. Our headquarter was in Oasis Resort where we used to squat.

We did a little scooter ride to visit the main attractions of Bohol island:
- Tarsier Conservation Area, Tarsier is the smallest primate in the world
- Chocolates Hills
- Baclayon Church
We have seen the damage caused by the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that happened last October 15, 2013 almost a month before the typhoon Haiyan.

We also went to Balicasag and Virgin islands.
We saw dolphins, green sea turtles and a lot of beautiful fishes.
